The Best Hamburger Recipes

Well I finally thought I should go ahead and do it. I get more hits on my blog looking for hamburger recipes than anything else. I wrote a top ten list of meals involving hamburger, and since then, I can’t seem to escape those who are in search of a good meal. I’ve decided to add a few recipes to the list, because my wife pointed out I missed some good ones (she was downright offended that I forgot her quiche and chile, so here they are!). If you have recipes that could be added, please feel free to drop a comment and I’ll include them at the end. In the meantime, enjoy the recipes!

Taco Salad

Ingredients:

half cucumber, red pepper, head of romaine lettuce, half purple onion, tomato. Chop vegetables up and mix together.

Grate 1 cup Kraft aged cheddar. Mix with veggies.

Add half a bag of Old Dutch round tortilla chips (or Tostitos rounds)

Brown one pound of hamburger and season with Old El Paso taco or burrito seasoning. Let cool.

The secret is in the seasoning. A couple of tablespoons of Kraft Catalina salad dressing really spices up the salad. Mix in sour cream and salsa to taste. If you can find one of those big nacho bowls, serve in one of them, glass bowls work fine too!

Shana’s Saucy Meatballs

Ingredients: 2 lbs ground beef, 1 package of dry onion soup mix, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 egg, 1/2 cup ketchup

Mix ingredients together, form into small meatballs. Place in casserole dish.

Sauce: 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of water. Mix and pour over top of meatballs.

Place in oven, covered at 350 for 1 hr. (Make sure meat cooks all the way through)

We usually eat with rice.

Shana’s Sweet and Sour Saucy Meatballs

Ingredients: 2 lbs ground beef, 1 package of dry onion soup mix, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 egg, 1/2 cup ketchup

Mix ingredients together, form into small meatballs. Place in electric frying pan.

Sweet and Sour Sauce: 2 and a half cups brown sugar, 1 and a half cups of water, two thirds of a cup of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of soya sauce. Mix together and pour over meatballs. Cook until done.

Delicious Meatloaf

These recipes get a little repetitive I know, but they taste so darn good!

Ingredients: 2 lbs ground beef, 1 package of dry onion soup mix, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 egg, 1/2 cup ketchup

Form into a loaf and bake in loaf pan in oven at 350 for approximately 45 minutes (until cooked through)
