Let us Make Man in Our Image (With little moustaches too)

No this is not an add for Grecian hair formula. This is a picture of Dr. Samuel Wood (medicine, psychology, biochemistry and molecular biophysics). He has admitted to being the first scientist to clone human embryos using adult cells. The process is relatively simple (just think, in a couple of decades we’ll be splicing our own DNA using over the counter kits to create designer children) scientifically speaking, and according to British law, these embryos are allowed to live no further than the 14 day stage and can never be implanted into a woman’s uterus.

I’m a tad cynical, and I assume (maybe incorrectly) people have been trying this for years. Who knows, maybe clones are walking among us. The science isn’t that far fetched, it’s the ethics that are holding some of these things back.
The vatican has already condemned the act and considers the creation (and subsequent destruction) of embryos for any purpose “the worst type of exploitation of the human being”. I tend to agree.
Sure stem cells from your own cells may not be rejected and could cure a myriad of disease. You could also eat healthy, live responsibly and resign yourself to the fact that at age 80, 90, or 120 you’re still gonna kick the bucket.
Make plans accordingly.
